Annual Appeal

Through its annual fund-raising campaign and it's planned giving programs the Foundation has raised funds for new equipment, improvements to the functioning and appearance of the facility, and enhancement of programs and services provided to residents and clients. These annual programs will continue concurrent with, and in addition to, the new assisted living residence

The proceeds of previous annual appeals were applied to addressing unfunded needs of the Greenwoods Care Facility and included:

  • the acquisition, maintenance, and operation of Greenwoods busses used to transport residents of the facility and allow members of the community to attend programs offered by Greenwoods;
  • the purchase of new electrically controlled safety beds to replace outmoded equipment;
  • the financial support of the important Art, Exercise, and Music Therapy programs;
  • the upgrade of activity and dining areas within the facility; and
  • the safety upgrade of the inner "courtyard" to reduce the risk of falls and other injuries.

The residents of the Greenwoods Care Facility are the very citizens who have given so much to us and our Southern Gulf Islands community.
